An enterprising travel agent teamed up with a very successful jewelry store for a “seasonal” alliance. Buy an engagement ring from the jeweller and earn $100 off a honeymoon cruise from the travel agent. Better yet: the travel agent now has a database of the participating couples’ wedding anniversaries.

Would you be surprised to learn that these couples always hear from him on their anniversaries, with offers for getaway weekends and special cruises? Wonder what he plans to do for their silver & golden wedding celebrations?
