Churchillian Advice

Posted by: Michael Carney   in Communications, Marketing Ideas

Winston Churchill set down five rules for successful speechwriting, which are also perfectly suited to writing advertising, or blogs, or any piece of communications:

  1. Begin strongly.
  2. Have one theme.
  3. Use simple language.
  4. Leave a picture in the listener’s/reader’s mind.
  5. End dramatically.
